With reference to my despatch No.35 of April 8th,
I have the honour to forward herewith copy, with
translation, of a letter which I have received from Mr.
Kan Chi eh-hou, Inspector-General for Foreign Affairs,
in regard to a p petition from the inhabitants of
Kowloon city.
I shall be glad if, in due course, I may
receive Your Excellency's observations on the
matter so as to enable me to reply to Mr.Kan.
